RAVA IDLI

  • Rava – 1 cup

  •  Cut green Chillies – 4-5

  • Ginger --  1’

  •  Cut coriander leaves – 1 tbls

  • Yoghurt – ½ cup

  • Cashew nuts – 10

  • Curry leaves – 6-7

  • Rai – ½  tsp

  • Chana dal – 2 tsp

  • Baking soda – 1 tsp

  • Heat oil and fry rai, once it splutters add chana dal and fry.

  • Add curry leaves, cashew, ginger and fry until cashew turns brown.

  • Add rava and roast for 10 mins. Let it cool.

  • Add 1 tsp salt and baking soda.

  • To prepare idlis take yoghurt and add water and the rava idli mix. Make it like idli batter and pour them in greased moulds and steam them.

  • The dry mixture can be stored as well for later use.
