MASALA MUNG DAL

  • Mung dal – 1 cup

  • Onion – 2

  • Chillies -- 2

  • Dhania powder – 2 full tsps.

  • Chillie powder – 1 full tsp

  • Salt

  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

  • Garlic – 3-4 clovs

  • Ginger – big piece

  • Tej patta – 2-3

  • Grind onion, garlic and ginger to a masala paste.

  • Heat 4 tsps of oil and add tej patta, chopped onions and chillies and fry till they turn brown.

  • Mix turmeric, chilli, dhania powder, salt in some water and add this mixture to the ground masala.
