MASALA MUNG DAL

Mung dal – 1 cup

Onion – 2
-
Chillies -- 2
-
Dhania powder – 2 full tsps.
-
Chillie powder – 1 full tsp
-
Salt
-
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
-
Garlic – 3-4 clovs
-
Ginger – big piece
-
Tej patta – 2-3
-
Grind onion, garlic and ginger to a masala paste.
-
Heat 4 tsps of oil and add tej patta, chopped onions and chillies and fry till they turn brown.
-
Mix turmeric, chilli, dhania powder, salt in some water and add this mixture to the ground masala.
