KOOTU

  • Urad dal – 1 tbsp

  • Red Chillies – 2-3

  • Jeera – 1 tsp•Coconut – 4 tbls

  • Moong dal or toor dal – ½ cup

  • Any vegetable( palak, snake gourd, beans, choyote)

  • Cook moong dal or toor dal.

  • Cook the vegetable in little water.

  • Fry urad dal.

  • Grind urad dal, coconut, chillies and jeera.

  • Mix all the above and boil. Switch off the stove and season the kootu.

  • Seasoning- heat oil add urad dal, jeera curry leaves and hing
