KOLAKATTAI – KADUBU

Rice flour – 1 cup

Water – ¾ cup

Jaggery – 1 cup

Fresh coconut – 1 cup
-
Cardamom pwd – ½ tsp
-
Boil water and keep adding the rice flour little at a time until it becomes thick.

Add a little water to the jaggery and heat it till it becomes thick.

Add coconut and cardamom pwd. The mixture should become like a ball.

Knead the rice flour by wetting hands a little.
-
Knead again with little oil nicely until it becomes soft.

Make small cups out of the dough.
-
Place a small ball of the jaggary mix in the centre.
-
Close the poornam with the dough.
-
Steam in idli vessel for 8-10 mins.
