DONDAKAYA CHUTNEY

Ivy Gourd
  • Tender dondakaya – 6

  • Red chillies – 3

  • Green chillies – 5

  • Methi – ½ tsp

  • Rai – ½ tsp

  • Urad dal – 1 tsp

  • Oil – 2 tsps

  • Hing

  • Tamarind pulp – 1tbls

  • Salt

  • Turmeric pwd – ¼ tsp

  • Heat ½ tsp oil in a pan and add dondakaya pieces. Fry and cook it until soft.

  • Roast urad dal, methi, 2 red chillies and all the green chillies. Grind these ingredients.

  • Add the cooked dondakaya to the above ground mixture and grind coarsely.

  • Temper with 1/2tsp urad dal rai, red chilli, curry leaves hing and turmeric fried in a little oil.
