CHINESE MIXED VEGETABLES

  • Cauliflower – 1 small

  • Carrots – 3 medium sized

  • Green peas – ½ cup

  • Turnip – 1 large

  • Capsicum – 1 large

  • Onion – 1 large

  • Celery stalks - 2

  • Salted and roasted peanuts/cashew/ almonds

  • soya sauce

  • Corn flour

  • Boil the green peas in water. After 5 mins add carrots, then cauliflower and then the turnip. Parboil the vegetables.

  • Heat some oil and add sliced capsicum and onions and stir fry. Remove from fire.

  • Add some oil to the pan put in the par boiled vegetables and then add the fried capsicum and onions.

  • Add salt, pepper, half teaspoon of soya sauce.

  • Make a hole in the centre of the vegetables and pour in the corn flour solution ( mix 2 tblsps of corn starch in ¼ cup of water) Cook till bubbles appear. Switch off.
